This vest is extremely disappointing due to the inaccurate sizing information provided online and on the product itself. It was way too big for my child who was well within the advertised weight range. While it did keep them afloat when held, it was completely unusable for allowing them any independence or building confidence due to the poor, loose fit that would just ride up. The material seemed okay, but the fundamental flaw in sizing makes it impractical for younger/lighter children despite the description.
